Aishah is a mixed Siamese-Chinese Malaysian from the Tumpat District of Kelantan. On the 9th of June 2015 at the age of 30, she embraced Islam through the Kelantan Islamic Religious Council.
A year after she converted to Islam, she married Mustopa Bin Ibrahim who was 45 years old. For the couple, this was life giving them another chance to start fresh as it was a second marriage for both of them.
From this new marriage, they were blessed with three (3) children aged 14, 9 and 2 years old respectively. Allah tests whom He loves the most. The couples first child suffered from Cerebral Palsy (CP) illness since birth. They have been taking care of the child for the last 14 years without any major improvement.
(Cerebral Palsy (CP) – Disorder of movement, muscle tone or posture that is caused by damage that occurs to the immature, developing brain, most often before birth.)
Aishah needs to spend at least RM 300.00 for the bare minimum (milk and diapers) on just her 14 year old daughter alone to feed and take care of her.
Aishah’s husband Mustopa works full-time as a construction labour for a living. The wages he receives are uncertain and he can get a maximum of RM 70.00 per day. Aishah is determined to work hard to earn a decent living by investing herself completely in her business of producing and selling traditional Rose chips and cakes.
The chips and cakes are sent to a shop nearby their house to be sold. All these efforts have rewarded them with an additional revenue of only RM 20.00 per day.
Majority of this little income is being used to cover the expenses of their child with Cerebral Palsy (CP) in the form of medicines, milk and diapers. This leaves the couple at a loss to meet the needs of the other kids and pay for other basic amenities like their house rentals, basic grocery and other utility bills

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: It is better for one among you to bring a load of firewood on his back and give charity out of it (and satisfy his own need) and be independent of people, than that he should beg from people, whether they give him anything or refuse him. Verily the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin (charity) with your dependants. [Muslim]
Aishah is a living example of the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ regarding those who try to work to earn a Halal and respectable income instead of begging others. At GlobalSadaqah our mission is to empower such people so that they go from becoming beneficiaries to benefactors themselves. This is the core of our mission to Circulate Good.
Even the smallest of donations count. The donations from this campaign not only help Aishah set up a decent business but will also help stabilize a family going through a very tough time Don’t let the numbers stop you for Allah loves all those who give and help remove a difficulty of a fellow Muslim.
